Text pages broadcast in the gaps of the TV signal: news, football scores, and page 302 for the weather.
You typed a three-digit number and waited while the page counter cycled round, sometimes twice, because the page you wanted was one of six rotating subpages.
Football results on a Saturday, holidays on page 260, and the strange comfort of blocky coloured text on black. It ran until 2012.
