Carbonate your own tap water at home, then ruin it with concentrate that tasted almost but not quite like cola.

The gas bottle was the expensive bit and had to be exchanged at Boots. The bottles went cloudy after a year and the syrup flavours never quite landed.

Fizzing the water was the fun part. Everyone over-fizzed it at least once and got a face full.
