Space Dust / Popping Candy

Carbonated sugar crystals that crackled and fizzed, accompanied by an urban legend about a child who drank cola afterwards.

Every school had a version of the same story, always about a child at another school, who had combined popping candy with fizzy drink and come to a bad end.

It was completely untrue and universally believed, which makes it a perfect piece of playground folklore.
