Findus Crispy Pancake Adverts And The Freezer Centre

Bejam, before Iceland ate it.

Findus Crispy Pancake Adverts And The Freezer Centre

The freezer centre was a whole shop of frozen food, and going there meant a chest freezer in the garage.

Bejam sold the freezer and then sold you the food to fill it. The chest freezer in the garage was a mid-eighties status symbol and a source of permanent mystery.

Iceland bought Bejam in 1989 and the name vanished from high streets within a couple of years.
