Blockbuster UK went into administration for the second time in 2013 and closed every remaining store.

The closing-down sales sold the shelving, the display units and eventually the signs. The blue and yellow shopfronts went dark one by one across 2013.

Netflix launched in the UK in 2012. The timing is not a coincidence and it was not really a fair fight.
