Thread the straws, tip in the marbles, then pull them out one at a time and try not to be the one who drops the lot.

Setting it up took longer than playing it and the marbles rolled under the sofa immediately. A full set was rare by the second Christmas.

The moment the marbles went was genuinely tense, which for a game involving drinking straws is quite an achievement.
